New Delhi, 23 June. The State BJP President led Senior party leaders in welcoming the NDA presidential candidate Smt Draupadi Murmu on her arrival here this morning at the IGI airport.
They presented her bouquets and shawls. Among those present were Central Ministers Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Shri G Kishan Reddy, Smt Meenakshi Lekhi, National General Secretary Shri Tarun Chugh, National Media Head Shri Anil Baluni, National Media Co-Head Shri Sanjay Mayukh, LOP Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, MPs Shri Manoj Tiwari and Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, General Secretary Shri Dinesh Partap Singh, Treasurer Shri Vishnu Mittal, Vice President Shri Jaiveer Rana, Poorvanchal Morcha President Shri Kaushal Mishra, OBC Morcha President Shri Santosh Pal, Tribal Cell Incharge Shri Mohan Lal Gihara, Spokesman Shri Khemchand Sharma. Talking to reporters later, Shri Gupta said Smt Murmu’s life is an inspiration for the whole country as she has risen to this level after going through a tough and difficulty life because of poverty. I am sure in times to come she would prove to be a great president for the country. He said it is a very good effort by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in giving political recognition to tribals and Smt Murmu is an example of this. Even earlier, the PM had made Shri Ramnath Kovind the President thus bringing Dalits to mainstream of the society. Shri Gupta said in 75 years of our independence, poor, backwards, Dalits were always neglected and it was only after Shri Modi became PM that he worked for bringing all these sections to mainstream of the society. Now people from every section of society are contributing towards development of country. He has done historic work of giving equal recognition to all, he added.
