NEW DELHI, May 27, 2022—Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar said that the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party Governments entered into a collusion in bulldozing the shops and small establishments of the poor people at the Naraina Industrial Area to push them into desperation and starvation. He said that the bulldozer politics of the BJP and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have not only destroyed the infrastructure of the poor, but their livelihoods have also been snatched away, as they remain roofless in this terrible heat.
A Delhi Congress delegation, led by Ch. Anil Kumar, and consisting of AICC Secretary Shri Manish Chatrath, Shri Bhram Yadav, Shri Madan Khorwal, Shri Parvez Alam, Shri Anuj Attrey, Dr Naresh Kumar, Naresh Sharma Neetu, Aniel Tanwar, block president and Congress workers, met the affected people and assured them that Delhi Congress will fight for their rights, and will not rest content till justice is meted out to them.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that the poor people living in the Naraina Industrial Area for the past 40 years have been displaced by the BJP and Arvind Kejriwal Government through their bulldozer politics, and the very same people who fed thousands of poor people, including the industrial workers, during the Covid-19 pandemic, are now struggling to exist themselves, as BJP and Kejriwal have mercilessly destroyed their lives.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that on the one hand, the Aam Aadmi Party Government, with an eye on the Rajinder Nagar Assembly by-election, has been making hollow promises to the displaced poor people at the Naraina Industrial Area, but on the other hand, CM Arvind Kejriwal has been colluding with the BJP in bulldozing the structures of the poor people across Delhi, which exposes the dual face of Kejriwal, whose anti-people actions have been exposed time and again.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Delhi Congress has been fiercely opposing the vindictive bulldozer politics of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party, targeting the poor and a particular section of people, as every person has a right to live in Delhi, and no one can force them out of the Capital. Ch. Anil Kumar offered all possible help to the bulldozer victims at the Naraina Industrial Area, including legal aid, as Congress had done in the past to protect the dwelling units and shops of the poor people. He said that Delhi Congress will thoroughly expose the anti-people actions of the BJP and AAP Governments, and their incompetence and inaction, to stall the development and progress of Delhi.
